Awards and Honors
At our latest check-up, HealthGrades®, the independent rating agency, just named Blanchard Valley Hospital among the top 5% of U.S. hospitals for patient safety in 2010. BVH received the HealthGrades® Patient Safety Excellence Award™.
It’s a result of providing patients with the highest levels of medical care in a safe, healing environment. HealthGrades® annually rates approximately 5,000 U.S. hospitals by looking at 12 different ways to measure patient safety in key areas such as patient outcomes, care after surgery and avoidance of complications that all result in the very best quality of care. And Blanchard Valley is one of only 17 hospitals in Ohio to earn this designation.
This attention to patient safety and quality delivers peace of mind at an anxious time. This is further proof of our legacy in delivering the highest quality care possible to people in our communities.
Providing exceptional medical care means focusing on the services that matter most to our community. That’s our commitment, not only to quality, but to offering advanced treatment in everything from cardiac care to back, neck, hip and joint treatment — services that are hailed by HealthGrades® as “5-Star.”
Quality in medical care takes a true team effort. Medical professionals, technicians, support staff and care coordinators work together as part of an organization-wide dedication to continually advance our quality of care and outcomes across all service areas.Bluffton Hospital received the 2009 Press Ganey Summit Award, a national award given to health care facilities that sustain the highest level of customer satisfaction for three or more consecutive years.
