Volunteers
This group has served BVH and its surrounding communities since 1949. Their assistance to the hospital has been in the form of volunteer hours and monetary donations. In 2007, the Auxiliary completed their pledge of $750,000 for the construction of the Donnell Patient Pavilion, exceeding it by $14,000 for a total of $764,000. Since record keeping in 1968, the BVH Auxiliary has donated a total of $2,816,237.00 to the hospital.
Volunteering is a great way to help others and feel good about yourself. As an Auxilian, you'll contribute meaningful service to patients, hospital staff and your community's well-being.
With over 30 programs currently performed by the Auxiliary, there are opportunities to fit all schedules and personalities.

Auxiliary Gift Shop: Blanchard Valley Hospital
The BVH Auxiliary Gift Shop, managed and staffed by volunteers, is located in the Donnell Patient Pavilion next to the main lobby. The gift shop offers greeting cards, fresh flowers, balloons, seasonal items, toiletries, books, jewelry, and gift items. All proceeds go to the BVH Auxiliary before being donated to BVHS. Total donated by the Gift Shop in 2007: $64,500.
Nearly New Shop
The shop offers gently used items for re-sale to the public. The shop is located at 306 W. Lima Ave., between West and Liberty and just west of Main Street in Findlay.
The shop is staffed by volunteers and all proceeds go the BVH Auxiliary before being donated to BVHS.
The Auxiliary welcomes donations of used items that are in good condition. Larger donations are especially welcomed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Mondays. Total donated: $51,000 in 2007.
Volunteer opportunities at Bluffton Hospital include assisting nursing staff with patient care, greeting and assisting visitors, working in the clinic and other departments within the hospital, and participating in community outreach and fundraising events.

Bluffton Hospital offers a Gift Shop located next to the main lobby. The gift shop is filled with a large variety of items, including cards, baby items, candies, and seasonal items. All proceeds go to the Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary before being donated to Bluffton Hospital.
