Bluffton Hospital Imaging
Bluffton Hospital has installed a new 16-slice CT scanner, giving patients access to high quality imaging in a small town setting.
The SOMATOM® Emotion CT scanner, produced by Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., offers many benefits to Bluffton Hospital's patients:
- Tests taken by the SOMATOM® Emotion CT scanner take less time than older units, thanks to its advanced technology.
- The scanner features an open design, helping to eliminate the "closed-in" feeling many patients associate with a CT scan.
- In addition, the scanner can produce high quality images while reducing the X-ray dose to the patient.
According to Siemens, the SOMATOM® Emotion CT scanner is the most popular CT scanner in the world, with more than 6,000 systems installed worldwide.
Bluffton Hospital started testing patients with the new unit the week of August 30th.
