Behavioral Health

Orchard Hall is the adult inpatient psychiatric wing at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Orchard Hall is a safe, caring and confidential environment where individuals can come for treatment related to:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Thought disorders
  • Mood changes
  • Bipolar disorders
  • Confusion

Patients in Orchard Hall are treated by an experienced team of professionals: psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, registered nurses, and psychiatric technicians are all involved in patients' care. In addition, patients have access to a variety of physicians who specialize in fields such as neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, and radiology; fields that may be related to our patients' unique needs.

About our Facility
Orchard Hall is a two-corridor, nine-bed unit that features spacious private and semi-private rooms with personal bathrooms. Additional amenities include a full kitchen, a dining and activity room, a family lounge, and other group gathering areas.

Like the BVH Donnell Patient Pavilion, Orchard Hall features color schemes, photographs and other carefully selected décor that provides a healing atmosphere for its patients.

The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Orchard Hall's nurses' station is centrally located to aid in patient accessibility, three psychiatrists are available for consultations, and a social worker can offer assistance to patients: all from within the Orchard Hall unit.

Someone I Know Needs Help. What Should I Do?
If you or someone you care about is experiencing depression, feelings of self destruction, anxiety, or suffering from an emotional disorder, talk to your family physician, therapist, or other health care provider for assistance.

Our psychiatrists on staff can work with your practitioner to determine if hospitalization is the best option.
