A groundbreaking ceremony for Blanchard Valley Health System’s new advanced medical office building in Carey will be held Thursday, June 21 at 4 p.m. at the future location of Carey Medical Center, near the Route 23 Carey exit.
The event will feature a ceremonial groundbreaking and include remarks by BVHS President and CEO, Scott Malaney, Kelly Shroll, president of Blanchard Valley Medical Practices, Marie Swaisgood, chief development officer at the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation and Carey Mayor Jennifer Rathburn.
Dr. Troy Puckett and Alyson Kinley, certified nurse practitioner, will continue to provide care to the community at the new facility. Dr. Robert Puckett, will join the practice in August 2019 following the completion of his residency. Space will also be available for a specialty clinic and allow services such as cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pain management and urology to be provided.
The facility will also offer patients access to x-ray on-site. There will be an opportunity to expand in the future for mammography, ultrasound, mobile PET, MRI and CT. Space will also be available for a pharmacy and other possible services.
The estimated completion date of the medical office building is Summer 2019.
