Medical Explorers Post 326

Sponsored by Blanchard Valley Hospital

Choosing your professional career is a big decision. The Medical Explorers group can provide you with valuable insight into a variety of professional health care fields and help you to decide if a career in health care is right for you. Medical Explorers learn about various health careers while speaking directly to professionals in different fields. They also have opportunities to shadow health professionals and see the day-to-day functions of a career in health care. Events will be from the health care areas of radiology, sports medicine, nursing, surgery, physician specialties and The University of Findlay's physician assistant and cadaver labs. Fun is also part of the experience, as members enjoy weekend getaways and spend time together outside of the hospital environment. Medical Explorers have the option to offset the cost of group trips by volunteering their time at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Any student grades 9-12 interested in exploring medical/health care careers is encouraged to attend. Parents/grandparents are always welcome.

The current annual cost of participating in Medical Explorers Post 326 is $20.
