Blanchard Valley Health System Welcomes Vascular Surgeon Dr. Murtuza Habeeb to the Heminger Heart and Vascular Center

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is pleased to welcome Murtuza Habeeb, MD, to the Heart & Vascular Specialists of Northwest Ohio. Dr. Habeeb will serve patients through the Heminger Heart and Vascular Center, further advancing the organization’s mission to provide exceptional cardiovascular care throughout the region.

Dr. Habeeb is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon with over 20 years of clinical and academic experience. He completed a vascular surgery fellowship at St. Louis University and a general surgery residency at Rosalind Franklin University’s Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson State University.

Dr. Habeeb holds board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. Throughout his career, he has practiced in numerous settings across the United States, most recently in Missouri and South Dakota, providing high-level vascular care in both permanent and locum tenens roles. Dr. Habeeb practices all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery.  His particular interest lies in limb salvage.

Dr. Habeeb has presented and published on various vascular topics, including endovascular management of complex renal fistulas, thoracoabdominal aortic repair, and vascular access solutions for dialysis patients. His work has been recognized at leading professional society meetings, including the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
