John CookAfter establishing one of the most successful Junior and Amateur careers in US history, John Cook was persuaded to attend The Ohio State University by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf where he was ranked the #1 Amateur Golfer in the World for two years. John later joined the PGA Tour, winning 11 regular Tour events. He has currently won 10 events on the Champions Tour. He was a winning member of the USA Ryder Cup winning team, vice-captain of a winning Presidents Cup team, and has served on the PGA Tour Policy Board, PGA Tour Advisory Board and Champions Tour Board. 

John was inducted into The Ohio State University Hall of Fame in 1986, and is a member of both the Ohio State Hall of Fame and the California Golf Hall of Fame. John has been selected by The Golf Channel to appear on the popular Morning Drive Show in 2016 and also appears for CBS TV as an analyst. John has designed or co-designed six golf courses with locations in Ohio, California and Mexico.

While John’s main focus is still on being a leading competitor on The PGA Champions Tour, he stays very involved in projects of The John Cook Family Foundation/The First Tee, Cook Golf, LLC and John Cook Golf Design.

John Cook was born October 2, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio and turned professional in 1979 after attending The Ohio State University. John and his wife, Jan, reside in Florida and have three children; Kristin, Courtney and Jason, along with a grandchild, Courtney Marie.
