Lucas McKean, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, has joined the team at Blanchard Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS).
Dr. McKean earned a bachelor of science degree in physics from Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) and a medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine (Toledo, Ohio). He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at McLaren Flint Hospital (Flint, Michigan) and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin).
Dr. McKean brings extensive experience in sports medicine from his work with the University of Wisconsin’s football team, a member of the Big Ten Conference.

Blanchard Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine specializes in the treatment of sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive and open surgery, including total joint replacements, such as knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle.
