Carey Medical Center Welcomes Charles Thompson, MD

Charles Thompson, MD, a physician specializing in acute and urgent care medicine, has joined the teams at Carey Medical Center and Physicians Plus Urgent Care, both divisions of Blanchard Valley Health System.

Dr. Thompson earned a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio), followed by a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine (Picard, Dominica). He completed his residency in family medicine at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center (Columbus, Ohio).

“I’m looking forward to caring for residents of Carey and Northwest Ohio,” Dr. Thompson said. “Carey Medical Center and Physicians Plus Urgent Care both include such skilled teams providing quality care. I am excited to get to know the community.”

Dr. Thompson is available for walk-in appointments, which are a new service at Carey Medical Center. Individuals do not need to be established Carey Medical Center patients to walk in for medical services.

Carey Medical Center is a primary care provider offering preventative care, wellness visits, health screenings, vaccinations, guidance with medication adherence, and chronic disease management. Physicians and providers treat conditions including respiratory illness, diabetes, gastrointestinal and urologic conditions, dermatology, depression and anxiety, sore throats, ear infections, strains, and other injuries.

Physicians Plus Urgent Care Center physicians and providers can treat non-emergency illnesses or injuries with no appointment needed. Physicians Plus also provides general radiology services on-site. Both children and adult patients are welcome.

Dr. Thompson will care for walk-in and same-day patients at Carey Medical Center, 930 Sheriden Drive, Carey, as well as walk-in patients at Physicians Plus Urgent Care, 3949 North Main Street, Findlay. For more information, please call 419.396.0567.
