Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is pleased to welcome Kalyna Jakibchuk, MD, to the
Rheumatology Specialists of Northwest Ohio. Dr. Jakibchuk's addition highlights the organization’s commitment to providing specialized care for those with chronic rheumatological conditions.
Dr. Jakibchuk is a board-certified rheumatologist with about 10 years of clinical experience. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Her post-graduate training includes an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Jakibchuk possesses board certifications in rheumatology and internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Before joining BVHS, Dr. Jakibchuk served as a rheumatologist within a nonprofit, community-based health system in Wisconsin, where she cared for patients with a wide range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
“My goal is to help patients live fuller, more comfortable lives by identifying and managing complex rheumatologic conditions effectively,” said Dr. Jakibchuk. “I’m honored to join such a respected team and look forward to partnering with patients throughout the region.”
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jakibchuk has presented and published research on key topics in rheumatology and internal medicine. Her work includes studies on the pathogenesis of erosive osteoarthritis and presentations on conditions like Sjögren’s syndrome.
