Nutritional Counselor
Nutrition plays an important role during cancer treatment. Good nutrition supports the healing process and helps patients maintain their energy and strength to complete treatment on schedule. Furthermore, being well-nourished has been linked to a better chance of recovery. As a nutrition expert, a registered dietitian can provide nutrition counseling and education to guide patients throughout treatment and recovery.
What a registered dietitian can do for you:
- Customize a nutrition plan to meet your specific needs during cancer therapy
- Discuss strategies for managing side effects
- Answer questions regarding cancer and nutrition
- Assist with the development of nutrition goals after treatment
Nutrition counseling is available for all oncology patients of The Armes Family Cancer Care Center.
