Course Description: Dementia Friends is an informational session that gives people an understanding of dementia and the small things they can do to make a difference in the lives of those affected. Effective communication and best practice strategies for patients and caregivers will be shared. Join our movement to support our community, understand better those impacted by dementia, and help create a more dementia-inclusive community!
Course Designed For: Any and all BVHS associates and community members interested in learning more about dementia and how to further their understanding and actions for people experiencing memory challenges. This may include but is not limited to caregivers, families, business owners, service-related professionals and staff, church communities, students, volunteers, etc. All are welcome!
Maximum number of people: 20
Course Length: 1 hour & 15 minutes
Course Notes: All attendees will have access to the informational session materials and resources to help assist and support people with dementia, their caregivers, and their families.
