Blanchard Valley Health System Welcomes Dr. Apoorva Chawla to Hematology & Oncology Associates

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is proud to welcome Apoorva Chawla, MD, to Hematology & Oncology Associates, located at The Armes Family Cancer Care Center in Findlay.

Dr. Chawla is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine, with a decade of experience diagnosing and treating cancer patients. Before joining BVHS, he was employed at Toledo Clinic Cancer Centers, and as part of a strategic partnership, also served as the Medical Director for Cancer Care and Infusion Services at Bellevue Hospital. He has also practiced at Northwest Oncology and Hematology in Barrington, Illinois. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and is passionate about helping his patients and their families navigate their cancer treatment.

In addition to his extensive clinical experience, Dr. Chawla has a strong educational background. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and then completed his medical degree (MD) at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He furthered his medical training at Harvard Medical School, finishing an internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Subsequently, he completed a hematology/oncology fellowship at The University of Chicago Medical Center in Illinois, where he led multidisciplinary tumor boards for gastrointestinal, thoracic, and head and neck cancers.
