Blanchard Valley Health System Welcomes Dr. Ethan Ekstrand to Carey Medical Center

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Ethan Ekstrand is joining the team at Carey Medical Center. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Ekstrand has experience in delivering comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Dr. Ekstrand recently completed his family medicine residency at Fairfield Medical Center, located in Lancaster, Ohio. During his time in this program, he has developed a well-rounded and holistic approach to his practice. Through diverse experiences and training, he has honed his skills in treating a wide range of health issues, including acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Additionally, he emphasizes providing preventative care, which is essential for maintaining long-term wellness.

Dr. Ekstrand received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. In this program, he developed his medical knowledge, focusing on research and community service. He also participated in various clinical rotations, gaining hands-on experience in different medical specialties. Dr. Ekstrand is passionate about improving patient outcomes and is committed to lifelong learning in the medical field.
