Blanchard Valley Health System Welcomes Dr. Saad Habib to Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialists of Northwest Ohio

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is proud to announce the addition of Saad Habib, DO, to its team of expert providers. Dr. Habib, a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in endocrinology, has joined the Endocrinology & Diabetes Specialists of Northwest Ohio, a division of BVHS. He is now seeing patients at 3411 Wellness Way in Findlay, Ohio.

Dr. Habib brings a depth of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex endocrine and metabolic disorders. He completed an Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he contributed to groundbreaking thyroid research. His recent work includes the development of an artificial intelligence-assisted clinical tool designed to improve thyroid biopsy decision-making, reflecting his commitment to advancing evidence-based patient care.

“Dr. Habib’s blend of compassionate care, research-driven practice, and community engagement makes him a valuable asset to our team,” said Myron Lewis, MSW, MBA, FACHE, president and chief executive officer at BVHS. “We are excited to welcome him and look forward to the impact he will have on patients across Northwest Ohio.”

Dr. Habib earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, Michigan, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University.

Dr. Habib has been recognized throughout his academic and professional journey for his leadership and service. He was awarded the LECOM Scholarship in 2018–2019 for academic excellence and commitment to the field of medicine. During his undergraduate years, he served as an executive board member for MSU Global Brigades from 2013 to 2015, helping to organize international medical outreach programs. In 2013, he received the Citizenship Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment, dedication, and service to the community.

His clinical background is complemented by a strong history of community involvement and leadership. He is the founder and organizer of Hoops for Hope, a volunteer initiative supporting homeless shelters in Detroit. Dr. Habib is multilingual, proficient in English, Urdu, and Spanish, and enjoys golf, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, and traveling.
