Blanchard Valley Hospital Named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals List for Seventh Consecutive Year
02.25.2026
Blanchard Valley Hospital has been named to Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list for the seventh consecutive year, recognizing its continued commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
More than 2,530 hospitals worldwide across 32 countries were evaluated for the 2026 rankings, with 420 hospitals in the United States earning placement. Blanchard Valley Hospital is honored to be included once again among this distinguished group.
In addition, the hospital has received the Patient Experience award, placing it among only 132 hospitals nationwide recognized for outstanding patient experience. This distinction is based on performance across the 10 composite measures of the national HCAHPS survey. To qualify, hospitals must meet rigorous benchmarks, including ranking within the top 40% across all measures, achieving top 15% performance in at least three, and ranking in the top 10% in at least four.
The World’s Best Hospitals rankings are based on hospital quality metrics, recommendations from medical experts, patient survey results, and the Statista Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey.
“This recognition reflects the dedication and compassion our associates bring to their work every day,” said Myron D. Lewis, MSW, MBA, FACHE, president & CEO of Blanchard Valley Health System. “We’re proud to provide exceptional care close to home and grateful for the trust our community places in us.”
