Bridge Home Health & Hospice named “Premier Performer” by SHP for Patient Satisfaction Survey Results
09.01.2023
Bridge Home Health & Hospice, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, was recently announced as a “Premier Performer” for the results of a 2022 home health patient satisfaction survey by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP). This recognition places Bridge Home Health & Hospice within the top five percent of all organizations included in the survey.
“This recognition exemplifies the quality care our dedicated team is providing to our community,” said Kyle McGraw, director of operations for Bridge Home Health & Hospice. “While the awards are a nice honor, our real reward is caring for those we serve.”
SHP, the survey vendor for Bridge Home Health & Hospice, provides data analytics and benchmarking to drive daily clinical and operational decisions. With the largest Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) benchmark in the nation, SHP identifies and recognizes organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.
Providers in the top 5 percent receive the “Premier Performer” award. Bridge Home Health received the “Superior Performer” award, which designates a rank within the top 20 percent, in both 2019 and 2021 (no awards given in 2020).
Results from the HHCAHPS survey are mailed to Medicare patients currently receiving services. The survey ratings can be used to compare agencies using a five-star scale, with more stars indicating better quality care. The patient survey asks patients (patient representative) about their home health care, and if they would recommend that agency to someone else. On Medicare.gov, Bridge Home Health & Hospice has a five-star rating for its patient survey results.
