03.25.2026
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) has been recognized by Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), a leading healthcare supply chain organization, as a recipient of the 2025 Supply Chains of Distinction Award. This recognition honors GHX Exchange-connected provider organizations that achieved best-in-class performance on “Perfect Order” metrics during the 2025 calendar year—demonstrating excellence in supply chain efficiency, automation, and operational performance.
“This recognition reflects the strong alignment between our financial stewardship and operational excellence within the supply chain,” said Gulshan Mehta, chief digital & information officer at BVHS. “By advancing automation and continuously improving our processes, we are enhancing efficiency, managing costs responsibly, and strengthening our ability to support high-quality patient care across our health system.”
The Supply Chains of Distinction Award is based on “Perfect Order” metrics that measure the percentage of purchase order lines transmitted through the GHX Exchange that are fully automated and touchless—from purchase to payment.
“At a time when healthcare faces increasing cost pressure, workforce constraints, and
ongoing supply chain fragility, these organizations are proving that operational excellence is both possible and essential,” said Tina Vatanka Murphy, President and
CEO of GHX. “By embracing automation, trusted data, and AI-enabled insights, they are
setting a new standard for supply chain leadership - strengthening resiliency, advancing
financial sustainability, and helping to enable better patient care at a lower cost. In doing so, they are helping shape a healthcare system that is more agile, more transparent, and better prepared for the challenges ahead.
Recipients of the 2025 award will be recognized at the 2026 GHX Summit, May 11–14, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A full list of honorees is available at ghx.com/awards/supply-chains-of-distinction/.
