Temporary Campus Access Changes – Saturday, February 7

Blanchard Valley Health System will be completing a planned construction activity on Saturday, February 7, requiring the use of a crane to lift heavy equipment onto the roof of the Center for Diagnostic Studies (CDS) at Blanchard Valley Hospital. To ensure the safety of patients, visitors, associates, and volunteers, several temporary access and traffic changes will be in place throughout the day.

What to Expect

·      For all outpatient testing, please visit registration, which will temporarily relocate to the Radiology check-in desk

·      CDS Access: During the lift, patients will be redirected away from the CDS building. Imaging staff will contact patients in advance and instruct them to enter through the Emergency Department (ED).

·      Laboratory Services: Lab services will remain on campus but will temporarily operate out of Same Day Surgery for Saturday hours only, 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Please enter through the ED.

·      Internal Corridors: Security will close corridor doors between Ruse and CDS to restrict access to the affected area.

·      Parking & Traffic:

o   Lot #7, located by CDS, will be blocked off beginning Friday evening, February 6, to accommodate the crane and contractors.

o   Temporary exterior and interior signage will be installed to assist with wayfinding and safety.
