LINX
The LINX device is another way to reinforce the valve between the stomach and esophagus and help prevent reflux. It is a flexible ring of small magnets that is placed around the esophagus just above the stomach using a few small incisions in the belly. This creates a dynamic artificial sphincter that allows patients to easily swallow and belch but prevents inappropriate reflux. After a complete evaluation we can discuss if this might be the right treatment option for you.
The procedure is done laparoscopically and lasts between 30-45 minutes and patient scan resume a normal diet that night.
