X-Ray
BVHS provides X-ray imaging at Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bluffton Hospital for outpatients, inpatients and those who enter through the Emergency Department and require imaging. X-ray imaging is also provided at EasternWoods Outpatient Center (EWOC) on a limited basis.
Often used to detect problems in the bones and joints, X-rays use a small amount of radiation to view the internal organs and body structure. X-rays are painless and usually quick procedures.
During the test, you may be asked to keep a lead apron over part of your body to shield it from radiation. Always tell your doctor and radiology technologist if you are pregnant or have metal in your body prior to your imaging procedure.
