A Letter to the Community from Myron Lewis, Incoming President & CEO

Words can’t express the excitement that my family and I felt when I was offered the position of President & Chief Executive Officer at Blanchard Valley Health System. It is with the deepest gratitude that I say “thank you” for entrusting me with leading this very special organization.

From the first time that I met members of the BVHS team, it was evident that the culture of this health system is unique and strong. BVHS has a long history and an unparalleled reputation for providing the right care at the right time.

For more than 130 years, this organization has been a driving force in the community, helping families celebrate some of life’s greatest moments and overcome some of their most significant challenges. Together, we will continue to provide compassionate, expert medical care to the community.

The promise that came before me will continue.

I also know this is a time of great change for BVHS. Not only is the organization’s leader of more than 20 years handing over the reins, but we are also still in the midst of a global pandemic.

As we face this unprecedented challenge, I would like to recognize the BVHS physicians, nurses and other associates for their remarkable and unwavering dedication. I thank each of them for their continued service and commitment to the mission of “Caring for a lifetime.”

I look forward to joining this family of professionals and getting to know the faces of BVHS. I also look forward to contributing to the community which is now my home.

While I may be new to this organization, I have years of experience in healthcare. I believe that the future for BVHS is a vision of growth and progress. I am committed to being a part of that evolution.

My focus is simple - to provide a culture where the BVHS team collaborates to provide quality care with a dedication to every day giving excellence…every patient, every time.

As my family and I move to Findlay, I know this is a place where I can become involved in the community, make new friends and contribute to a health system that has the best interests of patients at the heart of all decision making.

I am honored to serve alongside the “Extraordinary people” of BVHS.
