Monthly Mailings

Our monthly mailings include insightful articles that help individuals cope with their feelings of grief and loss. Quarterly, our newsletter contains current information of support groups in the area.

Support Groups

A variety of support groups are offered in recognition of the uniqueness of each bereaved individual, their grieving style and where they may be in their grief journey. Some groups are held on an on-going basis, while others are held when there is enough interest expressed. Support groups are hosted throughout our service area and are available to adults and children.

One-on-One Support

Supportive phone calls and visits are available by bereavement staff who specialize in grief and loss issues. This type of support can only be provided for a brief period of time.

Individuals or families that require more extensive support and counseling will be assisted through referrals to area counselors or community agencies who are also available to help.

Bereavement Companions

Specially trained volunteers in grief and loss issues are available to offer companionship to those journeying through their grief.

Lending Library

Our library has a collection of books that can be borrowed by those who are grieving, their families or community members. These books include some of the following topics: general grief, helping children cope, widow/widower concerns, issues regarding the loss of a parent, suicide, etc.

Grief and Loss Education

Our bereavement staff is available to provide community presentations, staff trainings and in-services on topics related to grief and loss.
