BVHS Associate Professional Development Fund

The BVHS Associate Professional Development Fund is established to provide opportunities for associates to obtain skills or education to improve within their current position or provide opportunity for advancement within BVHS.

Standards for Determining Eligibility of Applicant and Requirements

  • Employee of BVHS in good standing having successfully completed a 90-day review and full orientation within their department.
  • Coursework may include, but is not limited to certification training, work toward an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree; or other organized class on topics relevant to work at BVHS.
  • Award must be used to pay tuition, class fees, books, and/or supplies related to course work.
  • Award may not be used for conference attendance, seminars, professional memberships, or for any course currently offered through BVHS.
  • Funds will be paid directly to the training facility/organization.
  • If you receive another Blanchard Valley Health Foundation scholarship, you will not be eligible for the BVHS Associate Professional Development Award in the same calendar year.
  • This award will not impact your BVHS tuition reimbursement calculation.

Scholarship Award Maximum

Individual maximum up to $500 annually

Application Information

Applications for the BVHS Associate Professional Development Fund may be downloaded from the Blanchard Valley Health System website. All applications must be returned by mail no later than December 1. The applicant will complete the designated scholarship form. Please include one original and five (5) copies of the application packet.

Notification of Scholarship Award

Applicants will be notified in writing of the committee's decision by December 31. Funds must be expended in the calendar year following.

*Spending policy: On June 30 of each fiscal year, a fair market value (based on a three-year rolling average) for each endowed fund will be determined, up 5% of the fair market value, not to invade the original endowment amount.
