Blanchard Valley Health System Auxiliary

The purpose of the Auxiliary Scholarship is to financially assist a Hancock County-area high school senior in pursuing a health-related career. Monies for the scholarship fund are derived from the annual membership dues of members of the Auxiliary. The number of scholarships awarded annually will depend on the amount contributed by Auxiliary members.

Standards for Determining Eligibility of Applicant

  • Student’s academic record (must be in the top 1/3 of class)
  • Applicant must be a senior in a high school located in Hancock County and/or a Health Profession Student at Millstream Career Center
  • Applicant must be sincere about entering some medical field and have definite goals

Scholarship Award Maximum

$1,000 each

Application Information

All applications must be completed online no later than April 15. The applicant will complete the designated scholarship form.

Specific Scholarship Requirements:

  • The application itself must have all necessary portions of the application included

  • The application must be received before the established deadline of April 15

  • A personal statement must be included with the application

  • An official transcript from your school must accompany the scholarship form

  • Applicant must be a senior in a high school located in Hancock County and/or a Health Profession Student at Millstream Career Center

Notification of Scholarship Award

Applicants will be notified via letter prior to the start of classes by the first part of May whether they have been chosen to be awarded the scholarship. It is necessary for the chosen students to notify the committee of their student number, college they will be attending, etc.
