Colon Cancer Expertise at Blanchard Valley Health System

Colon and rectal cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, is one of the top cancers diagnosed in the U.S. and is treated by the expert cancer team at Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS). With a dedication to cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship at The Armes Family Cancer Care Center (AFCCC), you can count on our team to take care of you – and your cancer.

If you are experiencing GI symptoms such as abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits, thin or bloody stools, see your primary care physician for a referral to a gastroenterologist specialist for an accurate diagnosis. If you are looking for a colorectal surgeon, please visit our Find A Doctor to learn more about our colorectal surgeon.

Survivorship is Always Our Focus

From the very beginning of your care, our team works together with a survivorship mindset. Your treatment plan will be the result of an entire team coordinating and collaborating for the very best plan for your individual needs. At BVHS, our primary goal remains your recovery, so we don't hesitate to bring in any necessary resources for you. Through BVHS’ membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network, our cancer team has access to the Mayo Clinic Care Network, so our cancer specialists can connect to the most advanced resources and clinical expertise from the Mayo Clinic team.

Understanding Colon and Rectal Cancer

It can be overwhelming to understand every aspect of colon and rectal cancer care.
